Our team left out of Dauphin Island, Al on our 21 Contender powered by a 250 Yamaha. Our targeted species' included vermillion snapper, king mackerel, and amberjack. We planned on catching our snapper in the morning and troll for some King and AJ in the evening. The winds were 10-12 mph with seas at 2-3 every 8 seconds. Not terrible conditions. We limited out on our snapper fairly quick so on to trolling. Unfortunately we had no luck with the amberjack but the king bite was on fire. Yellowfin Tuna Fishing in the Bahamas It's been a long year waiting for our first Yellowfin trip of the season. Islamorada Offshore Fishing ReportThe offshore waters have been exploding with mahi this month. The lack of people in the islands at this time of year make for great fishing as you seldom see a charter boat on any given day way offshore. Its the slow season, not for fishing, but for charters and every other business here.Every charter we take, are taking good numbers of nice fish. The fish can be located anywhere from 20 to 45 miles out. Every weed line does not contain fish. You need to train your eye to the ones with fish. These will have...
